Aetnia has developed a system of professional linguists and full-time project managers that allows us to be flexible and meet each client’s individual needs. We assign a dedicated project manager to each client who learns all aspects of projects and works closely with you to create the best-tailored process for your translation projects.

Services

Sometimes “just translation” is not enough. Aetnia specializes in writing styles that are easily understood by a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. Our experts have been providing customized and niche-specific translation of most major language pairs for industry leaders since 1995.

Linguistic Credentials

Linguists that work for Aetnia are all native-speaking professionally trained linguists. Being a native speaker does not guarantee quality translation. Linguists are professionals. They are talented writers in dual languages, are highly trained in their specific fields, and have spent years learning the trade and their specialties.

Aetnia works with linguists who hold Master's degrees or higher in a specific area of expertise. They must possess at least ten years of full-time translation experience with a full resume and references before being considered for our database of linguistic resources. Linguists are tested and certified by the American Translators Association. New linguists are required to provide a translation sample project for Aetnia before beginning actual work for our clients. This test project is reviewed for timeliness as well as accuracy by other established Aetnia linguistic resources.

How do we ensure accuracy and consistency?

Language is a human process—even experts can make mistakes. That is why we utilize several linguists to translate, and edit every word.

Aetnia’s Translation Process

A custom process will be tailored to your project's individual requirements. Our basic formula for the translation phase involves multiple linguists and quality assurance procedures to ensure the most accurate translation. The basic linguistic and project management phases are outlined here for you.

Translation

Our translators are all native speaking, professionally certified linguists. Your document will be translated by someone specialized in the subject matter as well.

Engineers translate engineering, medical experts do medical, writers do literary and so on.

Editing

A separate equally qualified linguist will edit the translation to ensure quality; at the same time comparing the translated material with the original document to guarantee the best possible end product.

Proofreading

Proofreading is to once again ensure all elements of the newly translated document are accurate and that the original elements exist in the new version.

Client Review

At Aetnia, we guarantee that all our work will be done to your satisfaction. We work with you to develop a schedule of expert review and give you the opportunity to check that everything is to your satisfaction. We will incorporate any of your preferences and develop a “client style” that will be used for all your materials.

Confidentiality

At Aetnia, we value your information and go to great lengths to keep your information in strict confidentiality. Anyone who works with us is legally bound to protect your information. Our linguists are not allowed to share your information in discussion groups, translation forums, or any other area open to the Internet where your information could potentially be exposed to others. Furthermore, our linguists are also bound by a code of ethics of their licensing institutions to which we report and get feedback from, on a regular basis.
